Major mold and fungus damage with a missing piece

The digitally retouched photo below was severely deteriorated, had a missing piece, heavy fungus damage, and needed facial reconstruction. Our first steps involved stripping the photo of its color, reconstructing the missing piece of the photo, retouching to remove the stains, restoring the facial and skin damage, and retouching the background and clothing in the photo. Next, we restored the image to a sepia tone that reflected the era in which the photo was taken.
